Welcome to my little corner of the internet. I'm so glad you're here!

I am a semi-retired English teacher who enjoys travel, photography, and writing. I consider all these passions intimately connected. I cannot travel without a camera or notebook. Reading enhances my writing. The camera helps me slow down and observe the world around me. And I feel compelled to tell the story behind the photo.

These are my heart's desires. And I look forward to sharing them with you.

My first book, Journaling Toward Wholeness: A 28-Day Plan to Develop a Journaling Practice was released in May 2017. I can attest to the physical, emotional, and spiritual health benefits of journaling and want to inspire others to give journaling a try.

I am currently revising the first book in my  Middle-Grade Series: Escaping through the Arts. It is my fervent desire to introduce young students to the fine arts (literature, music, and visual art) in a fun, engaging way. This first book, Ellie's Paris Adventure, takes place in Paris, 1880, at the time of the French Impressionists. The anticipated release date is August 2017.

I have several other projects in the works including:

  • An Italian Family Christmas, detailing my Italian in-laws holiday celebrations and recipes (due November 2017)
  • the second book in the MG Travel through Art series focusing on Boston in the 1880s and the American Impressionist, Childe Hassam
  • another MG historical fiction novel loosely based on the life of husband's grandmother whose family immigrated to the United States in the late 1880s.
If you'd like to receive updates on these future projects, or just stay in touch, please register for my Author Reader Group (located in the right-hand sidebar).

Thanks so much for stopping by. I hope to see you again soon!
